Client Description
- US multinational and manufacturer of process chemicals, turnover of $1.3 Billion
- US centred organisation with 3 European manufacturing sites
- Traditional industry, sites have been in existence for 80-100 years.
-COMAH rated process chemical company operating a continuous separation process
-Financially strong with a good HSE record to date, mature organisation with strong systems in place
Job Description
- Multi-site SHE role, responsible for European sites and head office
-Reports directly to Vice President of European Operations, and Vice President of SHE in the US
-Develop cohesive SHE function in Europe, build on best practise in an already strong performing European function
-Represent the European function to the US management group, managing expectations and providing a transparent view of HSE in Europe
-Develop strategic approach to REACH legislation, working with and influencing policy makers and peer group to ensure company prepared and not at risk with respect to REACH legislation
-Develop an understanding of current situation regards future responsibilities regarding environmental impact and land remediation, communicate effectively with the US
Candidate Description
-SHE professional with process industry experience
-Worked in a management capacity, preferably in a multi-site role
-Experience working in a multi-national business, preferably with the US
-Strong leadership and communication skills
-Experience working with external legislative bodies
-Working knowledge of REACH and previous experience of land remediation
