We are representing a client who requires an experienced Financial Accountant for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract to start by mid October.

Our client with a finance team of 15 based at the office in South Shields is looking to recruit an experienced Accountant on a fixed term contract basis.

You will report to the Financial Accounts Supervisor and work as part of a team taking on responsibilities in some of the staff supervision.

You will work closely with the Financial Accounts Supervisor in ensuring month end procedures are met to deadline.

The role is hands on and you will be expected to assist across all levels within the finance department to include:

Posting journals
Specific accruals and prepayments
Dealing with Tax issues
Posting payroll
Financial accounts preparation
Account analysis
Monthly reports
Month end production
Balance sheet reconciliations

Ideally you will have Oracle experience although this is not essential. It is also preferred that you are a qualified Accountant. Supervisory experience is essential.

Our client is looking for the successful candidate to commit to completing this 6 month contract and the ideal candidate needs to be available to commence this contract by mid October at the latest.
