• Job: Product Development Engineer • Location: Stockton-on-Tees • Salary: negotiable + Benefits
My Client one of the world's leading engineering and plant building companies for the international metals industry. Who to date have completed more than 1300 major industrial projects in some 80 countries, are looking for a “Product Development Engineer” to work from their Stockton-on-Tees office.
Role
Development of Gimbal Technology, at the Stockton site, liaising with the Product Manager.
Tasks
• Understand the market requirements for product.
• Assist in preparation of appropriate marketing tools.
• Coordinate all aspects of product design and development
• Develop relationship with key sub-suppliers. Assist in the compilation of standard documentation
Education / Knowledge
• Ideally trained in Mechanical Engineering
• Qualified to a minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
• Experience is nice to have but not essential, training will be given as required.
• Ability for lateral and dynamic thinking.
• Self motivation - This is an essential aspect of job as the successful applicant will be required to present technical solutions to the customer in a positive and coherent manner.
Essential
• Current Driving Licence
• Current passport
• Able to travel both nationally and internationally, possibly at short notice
