Major Technical Services Ltd is a specialist recruitment business focusing on supplying temporary, interim and permanent Engineering personnel to a large portfolio of clients.
For our client based in Darlington, Co. Durham, UK, specialising in the design, build and commissioning of LNG tankage and jetties worldwide we are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Cost Engineer to be based at their Head Office in Darlington.
The successful candidate will be working at our clients Head Office in Darlington, UK on the EPC project in India. Responsibilities will include complete project cost collation and end life forecasting. The candidate will also have to work on cost monitoring and cost reporting duties. The candidate will be responsible for the preparation of variations. The candidate will liaise with construction disciplines, collecting and processing man-hours, costs and productivity data. The successful candidate will report to the Commercial Manager.
The candidate should be fully conversant with Microsoft Office products, in particular Word and Excel. The candidate should be well versed in analysis costs and investigation of anomalies. Also, establishing and maintaining cost information in electronic format. The candidate should have a proven record of ability to manage and report all commercial issues. Should have the ability to work in a team and be a team player.
The candidate should have 10 years experience in the preparation of cost summaries from basic data preferably in Oil and Gas, EPC environment.
This role can be either a permanent or contract position. Pay and conditions are negotiable.
