Job Description
At the forefront of our European manufacturing effort and also housing our worldwide Technical Centre, Cummins Engine Business produces an extensive and increasing number of high quality mid range engines. We seek a highly skilled HR Officer to further compliment the organization and join a world-renowned business that is supplying more than 200 customers in over 40 countries across the globe. We are a truly international business, whose products are used for a variety of applications in key automotive, industrial, power generation, mining, construction and rail markets.
We are now seeking a highly experienced HR Officer to provide Maternity Cover in the HR team.
Duties include:
Manage site sickness absence process working closely with Occupational Health and line managers to provide advice and support to ensure a consistent approach.
Deliver leadership training and advice on key policies and procedures.
Implement revised graduate and placement student programme linking in with management to organize their recruitment and succession plans to ensure requirements match business needs. Track graduate to the headcount plan.
Co-ordinate employee survey action plan, working with management to drive and communicate improvements.
Support disciplinary and grievance hearings where required.
Departmental contact for maternity and paternity leave.
You should have a HR Degree or equivalent and ideally be CIPD qualified or working towards. You should also have strong generalist HR background. Good listening and communication skills are required, as is a knowledge of employment legislation. Must be PC literate (Microsoft Packages and HR Systems) and have the ability to organize and plan effectively.
