Job Description

Our client is the UK’s largest independent supplier of automotive aftermarket products and a leading organisation within the motor industry. They operate a regional network of nearly 200 branches, delivering a full range of automotive and commercial vehicle products to the automotive aftermarket.

A Warehouse Operative is required for their Durham branch to undertake a broad range of duties revolving around the handling and picking of motor parts, from bulky exhausts and heavy brake discs and batteries to packs of washers and clips. From receiving goods in, storage of stock, organising credits and compiling stock returns, you will be responsible for ensuring our parts are in the right place to enable picking the “Right Part, First Time, Everytime” for their drivers to deliver.

You must have experience of working in a warehousing role and be able to demonstrate pace, accuracy and ability to think logically. Due to the nature of the items we stock and supply, you must be physically fit and able to carry out lifting duties. You must also be a great team player as your role will be pivotal to the success of the business: making sure our client’s customers are 100% happy with the quality of service they receive. A knowledge and understanding of the automotive aftermarket and its products is desirable though not essential.

The salary for the role of Warehouse Operative is £13,000 plus bonus. You would be joining them at a really exciting time of growth and investment, with plenty of opportunity to progress and really make a difference.
