| Welding Engineer £45,000 with company car or car allowance and pension scheme Responsibilities include: Carry out welding procedure qualification tests and preparing documentation. To prepare job specific welding procedure specifications and communicate to production at shop and site. Carrying out Welder Qualification Tests, prepare records and maintain company welder qualification register. Perform welder audits Analysis of weld defects Provide welding method solutions for process plant and equipment maintenance and repair at site. Review technical tender documents identifying cost issues and proposing solutions. Liaison with client and third party inspection authorities Providing technical support on welding issues This is an outstanding opportunity to influence the long term welding capability of this major organisation and in turn to harness your expertise when dealing with clients who range through a wide variety of sectors. You will need to have experience of at least eighteen months in a similar position, educated to HND level or equivalent and ideally hold your CSWIP3.1 welding inspection certificate |
